How do I become a member of SLP?


To become a member, simply attend our kick off at the beginning of the semester, or email SLP@StudentLife.wisc.edu

 

Spring Kickoff will be held on Wednesday, February 5th from 5:30pm-6:45pm

in Chamberlin 2103. See you there!

 

Who is eligibile to become a member?


Any UW-Madison student can become a member of SLP. One of the greatest aspects of SLP is our different levels of commitment depending on how much time you want to offer. Any member that fulfills these requirements each semester will be recognized at our End of the Semester Recognition Banquet.

 

General Member

General Members must meet the following requirements:

  • Attend 4 of 5 General Member Meetings every other Wednesday evening from 5:30 - 6:45pm
  • Attain active membership of an SLP Committee
  • Attend two SLP social events
  • Attend the All-Campus Leadership Conference on Sunday, February 23rd.

Associate Member

Associate Members must meet the following requirements:

  • Attend at least three SLP Leadership Events per semester
  • Attain active membership of an SLP Committee
  • Attend/Work the All Campus Leadership Conference on Sunday, Febraury 23rd.
  • Attend three social events

If you would like to participate as an associate member, please email slp@studentlife.wisc.edu by Wednesday, February 26th to be eligible.

Associate vs. General
This level of commitment is intended for those who have a class conflict during our general meetings held every other Wednesday from 5:30-6:45pm. This level of commitment is an applied position. Applications to be a Committee Chair for the next school year will be available early Spring semester.
