Ground and Roving Workshops

“Default Testimonial    -ALPs”

Ground workshops take place all over campus, depending on where the group can find a location space. We often do workshops outside, in various classrooms, in rooms at the Union… anywhere! These workshops tend to last 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on what the group wants.

A focus of a ALPs ground workshop is to work with a group using Adventure Based activities that focus on the needs of the group. Our ground workshops can emphasize and be centered around some of the following group dynamics:

    Dreamcatcher activity
  • Trust
  • Teambuilding
  • Problem Solving
  • Community Building
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Communication
  • Goal setting

and much, much more..

A roving workshop is our newest type of ground workshop that combines the adventure of a campus scavenger hunt with all the elements of a ground workshop. The scavenger hunt is primarily around the East side of campus and challenges your group with clues for locations with UW-Madison themes. This workshop will be outdoors and involve switching locations throughout the workshop. Prepare for the weather and a lot of fun!
