Research Centers and Programs: Research takes on many forms and spans across many areas of academia.

Academic Programs: With so great academic programs to choose from, it’s easy to get involved.

Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation: An independent, non-profit foundation chartered to support research at the UW-Madison and the designated technology transfer organization for the university. WARF is a separate entity from the university but partners closely with it.

University of Wisconsin-Madison Expertise: Expertise is a knowledge management system for individuals and institutions, containing first-person profiles of researchers.

L&S Internship Opportunities: Internship opportunities through UW-Madison and other universities and not just for L & S majors.

Kauffman Entrepreneurship Internship: This internship program provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate motivation and creativity through the construction of a social entrepreneurship project with members of Wisconsin communities. In previous years, students studied the workings of grassroots autonomy through community outreach, created a Spanish-language camp for elementary school students, and collaborated with allies to bring back to life a community library on the Red Cliff Reservation in northern Wisconsin.

My internship experience prepared me for my professional career better than any class I have taken on campus. It allowed me to emerse myself in the professional world and learn from experience.
