FreeThe University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is pleased to invite you to attend the virtual Women’s Health and Health Equity Research Lecture & Symposium on October 8, 2020.
The Symposium is an annual meeting that connects health care professionals and population health experts around the latest research into health disparities and health equity. Every year, in addition to the keynote lecture, researchers share their work on health disparities research and investigators present posters. One of the aims of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is to close the persistent gender and racial health disparities gaps.

“Ministration without Representation: The Essential Roles of Inclusion and Voice in Creating Health Equity”
Erica E. Marsh, MD, MSCI, FACOG
Dr. Marsh is the S. Jan Behrman Collegiate Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of OBGYN. She is the Founder and Director of the Women’s Health and Reproductive Disparities (onWHARD) Collaborative, a group committed to advancing reproductive health through meaningful research, empowering education, and committed advocacy. She is also the Director of Community Engagement for the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (NIH-funded CTSA program) at UM.
