Beyond the Screen: An open discussion on the power of media and how Black individuals have harnessed it to shape America

The Global Connections Committee will be joining Erica Turner, Executive Director of Bridge the Divide, and James Causey, Reporter for Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Ideas Lab/President of Wisconsin Black Media Association— for a discussion on how Black individuals have used the media as a medium and tool for both enacting change and exerting influence upon American society, even in times of overt and extreme marginalization.
