Recent scholarship has highlighted the changing patterns in suicide among Black Americans, noting that black males account for most of those deaths, as well as the recent rise in suicide among black children.  The presentation examines the psychiatric health of black males, using a person-in-environment approach, to explore how centering healing as part of social mobility, would results in more efficacious and sustained whole person wellness.
