Join Tou SaiK Lee via Zoom for a presentation exploring perspectives of “Indigeneity” among Hmong people in Thailand through ethnographic research based on qualitative data. Interviews were conducted in the Hmong language with villagers and in English with NGO activists. Findings include how Hmong participants use inventive language and social memory to communicate Indigenous identity. New results will be revealed on how applied Indigenous methods were used to teach Hmong language and history to middle school and university students.
