JLC: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Gendered Galaxy

April 14, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Have you ever wondered what factors resulted in today’s wage gap, the talent gap, and the glass ceiling for women? More importantly, what can we do to blaze the trail, and to stand strong and lead together? In her talk, Professor Li will walk you through some data (don’t panic, data could be fun!) to understand the “system” around the issue, including education, career choice and company policies. She will provide you with the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Gendered Society,” an intuitive, effective, and yet not so easy to follow approach–because you will need to stick to it and practice!

Min Li is a Senior Lecturer at the Wisconsin School of Business. She received her PhD degree in Management from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. Her current research focuses on cross-cultural management with an emphasis on cross-cultural negotiation, knowledge management in groups and teams, employee diversity network, and ethics in negotiation. Min’s teaching areas center around Management, HR Management, International HR and International Business, Negotiation, and Women’s Leadership.
