I grew up in Oregon Wisconsin, just 12 miles south of Madison. After high school, I attended the University of Iowa and earned a BS in Physical Education and Health while playing women’s basketball for the Hawkeyes. Following graduation from Iowa in 1983, I had the privilege of playing semiprofessional basketball in Ireland for two years. Upon returning from Ireland, I began what had become a 22 year career in coaching women’s basketball at the collegiate level. My coaching stops included the University of Wisconsin for two different stints as well as Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Following my coaching career, I happily landed in Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin where I currently serve as the Leadership Specialist within the Center for Leadership & Involvement. In addition, I am the Liaison to UW Marching Band with a focus on leadership development, team building and promoting a positive and safe environment for all band students.
