I grew up on a farm in Newton, Iowa, and eventually found my way to Luther College. I was able to study abroad in England for a year, which turned out to be a life changing experience. I saw potential for students to develop through experiential learning opportunities, particularly study abroad, that takes place outside of the classroom. After college, I lived and worked at a community based public health organization in Minneapolis for 3 years, and recently moved to Madison to start working on my Master’s in Global Higher Education.
