Personal Biography:

I grew up in Decatur, Illinois and moved with my family to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area after finishing high school. I attended the University of Tulsa for my undergraduate degree where I was a Resident Advisor, a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Women’s Music Fraternity, and played violin in the orchestra. After college I served as an AmeriCorps member with Reading Partners Tulsa, providing literacy support at an elementary school. I had never visited Wisconsin when I moved to Madison in 2020, but instantly felt at home. As a graduate student here at UW-Madison I was a teaching assistant in Com Arts, and a reference assistant at the Cooperative Children’s Book Center on campus. I’m excited to spend more time in the campus community and continue supporting UW-Madison students as they discover their passions.

There are limitless ways to get involved and meet new people on campus and in the Madison community. Don’t be afraid to try something new, even if you’re the only person you know there, because you’ll meet new people and find new skills and interests within yourself.
